Waverley Brook Farm CSA is to share the bounty of the land, and encourage health and wellbeing within our community by providing fresh, fair priced quality vegetables and fruits raised sustainably in harmony with nature.

What is CSA?

• “Community Shared Agriculture”
• Farmers grow a wide variety of crops for a predetermined group of consumers
• These consumers have become shareholders by purchasing a “share” through a pre-season payment to the farm
• Shareholders receive a fresh “food box” weekly for 18 + weeks

 What To Expect:

• What you see is what you get.  Meet your farmer, see the gardens, ask questions
• Real variety. In-season foods, 60 field ripened crops
• True freshness.  Same day harvest
• Share the crop risk.  Learn the effects of weather and pests
• WFB CSA chooses to be "certified organic“ by you the customer
• No line-ups, no elevator music, no trashy snacks, tabloids or ads

How Does It Work?

• Purchase a share by May 1st for the summer growing season with $50 deposit
• Give farmers the time to plan the gardens and provides money for seed
• Pay for your food box choice by June 1st
• Come to the farm mid June to pick-up your first “food box”
• Pick-up your box weekly Tuesday or Friday until Thanksgiving weekend

Shareholder Food Box Options:

 I. Garden Box:

• Receive 16 + weeks of farm fresh produce
• $450+$50 - deposit pickup at farm Fri./ Tues.

    Work Share:

• $450 + 10 hrs work deposit
• Ask about match-ups, ideal for singles and seniors

  II. Cottage Box:

• Receive one weeks worth of pre-ordered farm fresh produce
• $40 weekly paid upon farm pick-up

  III. Storage Box:

• Receive four fall storage boxes, farm pickup every-other week, four times
• $80

IV. Gift Box:

• Donate to give the gift of healthy food to our community

All shares require a $50 deposit (subtracted from share price) by May 1st.

1. Garden Share fresh locally grown produce.
* Share in the abundance of the garden for 16/17 regular weeks and gleaning weeks.
* Special abundant harvest - you choose one crop for larger amount to winter preserve.
* Fall gleaning crops depending on weather when you choose to come do the picking.
* Pick up each week - Fri or Tues at farm (Tues delivery to Minden negotiable).
* Price: $500 - $50 deposit, $450 paid by May 30, plus 10 hours work (buy out $10/hr)
2. Choice box -membership $50 plus $320 for 16 Tuesdays of 6 to 8 items of your choice
* Friday night receive the list of available produce, herbs, fruit and vegetables. By Monday 6 pm reply with your 6 to 8 choices that add up to $20 for the week.
*Pick up your choice box of produce on Tuesday afternoon.
3. Cottage Share - as available
* Receive the abundance of the garden share food box on a short term basis.
* Pay $35 weekly for each week you receive a food box. Pre-order by email or phone.
* Optional - $50 membership to support produce availability to buy in season.
Farm gate sales - produce will be for sale, as available at the farm gate and special events. This may include strawberries, raspberry, rhubarb, garlic, herbs, sunflowers, corn, pumpkin, squash, etc as crops comes in from the abundant land. Special fall and winter crop baskets by request.
Maple Syrup & Firewood from 4th generation family managed forest available. Meat Co-op member.
CSA Farm Membership a gift to the future -Receive crop & Farm info in a weekly e-mail while supporting efforts for sustainable farming
-Invest in intern efforts and educational improvements
-Support low income Individual or family food boxes.
