Autumn in all it's glory is upon us. Beautiful harvests of bounty abound. With lots of pumpkins, corn, corn stalks, squash, and all of the other summer crops until the frost hits. On our farm we usually have a longer time without frost. Tuesdays and Fridays are days that you can come to the farm and buy produce, but also just come and see what is happening at the farm.

Waverley Brook Farm news

We live with the abundance of what the land gives in the four seasons at Waverley Brook farm. We work in the forest, logging with sustainable methods in forestry for fire wood and saw logs off our own land here at Waverley Brook Farm.
The spring season is maple syrup. The liquid gold produced only in this bio-region of the world is being created by the maple trees as we sleep. The nights need to be a few degrees below freezing and then a shift to a few degrees above freezing in the day creates the flow of sap that we harvest and boil into syrup for sale here at the sugar house. You are invited to come tour the maple sugar house just 4 Km from Haliburton, off Gelert Road. If we are there the gate is open.
Our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) food box program is closing soon for the 2011 summer. If you would like fresh local produce, give us a call today.
You receive over 60 crops of Fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers in your fresh harvested food box from mid June to Thanksgiving weekend in a regular pick up at the farm plus gleaning weeks in the fall.
